Let's do things a 'lil different today. Instead of another makeup tutorial or #fotd, why don't I show you how I incorporate Paula's Choice Resist Anti-Aging line into my night time regimen. I would assume that you've seen my undone face on the blog numerous times: some acne marks, pronounced pores, uneven skin tone, slightly oily (used to be very!); with all these flaws, how in the world I became a beauty blogger, see I know what you're thinking girlie! Self-deprecation aside, it's because I am as human as Queen Bey and her leaked un-retouched photos, #nuffsaid
Paula's Choice Resist Anti-Aging line caters to those with combination (oily with dry patches) and maturing skin (age spots, enlarged pores, dull skin) so if you have similar issues, hop on the curious moth wagon!
After removing my makeup with wipes, I wash my face right away. Resist Perfectly Balanced Cleanser ($18, 190 ml / 6.4 fl oz) is fragrance-free and slightly foamy. If there is one immediate benefit I can attest after using it, that would be supple and soft skin.
Water, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (cleansing agents), Stearic Acid (thickener), Glycerin (skin-repairing ingredient), Glycol Distearate (opacifying agent), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (non-fragrant antioxidant plant oil), Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP (skin-repairing ingredients), Phytosphingosine (cell-communicating ingredient), Phospholipids, Sphingolipids (skin-repairing ingredients), Lecithin (cell-communicating ingredient), Arginine (amino acid water-binding agent), Cholesterol (skin-repairing ingredient), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (water-binding agent), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Sodium Chloride (stabilizer), Sodium Hydroxide (pH adjuster), Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate (emulsifier), Cetearyl Alcohol, Acrylates Copolymer, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer (thickeners), Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol (preservatives).
Three times a week, I devote 10-15 minutes for facial mask. This gives me time to read my favorite blogs or browse any magazine within my reach, 'kinda like my me-time-don't-disturb-or-else.
Then I hop on the shower to rinse, bathe, shave, #theworks! After applying body oil to seal in the moisture, I tackle my face again. This time with Resist Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner ($23, 118 ml / 4 fl oz) to ensure complete removal of makeup residue, grime and whatnot. At the same time, it also minimizes enlarged pores, reduce redness from breakouts and improve skin texture. It's fragrance-free and feels ever so light on the skin.
Water, Glycerin (skin-repairing ingredient), Ethoxydiglycol (solvent/penetration enhancer), Niacinamide (cell-communicating ingredient), Resveratrol (grape-derived antioxidant), Sodium Hyaluronate (skin-repairing ingredient), Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 (cell-communicating/water-binding agents), Phospholipids (skin-repairing ingredient), Acetyl Glucosamine (skin-repairing ingredient/melanin inhibitor), Epigallocatechin Gallate (antioxidant), Carnosine (cell-communicating ingredient), Genistein (antioxidant), Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract (anti-irritant), Adenosine (cell-communicating ingredient), Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract (anti-irritant), Xanthan Gum (thickener), Citric Acid (pH adjuster), Polysorbate 20 (emulsifier), Butylene Glycol (slip agent), Ethylhexylglycerin (water-binding agent), Carbomer (thickener), Tetrasodium EDTA (chelating agent), Phenoxyethanol (preservative).
With my face spotless-clean, it's time to address my skin issues. Resist Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum ($34, 30ml / 1 fl oz) helps with acne breakouts, pore reduction and wrinkle prevention. Aging is inevitable but I strive to defy it. This serum is lightweight and gets absorbed onto the skin fast. It does help in lessening the sebum that's why I also use it in the morning prior to makeup application.
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane (silicone slip agent), Butylene Glycol (slip/water-binding agent), Glycerin (skin-repairing ingredient), Dimethicone (silicone slip agent), Polysorbate 20 (emulsifier), Polysilicone-11 (film-forming agent), Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone (silicone polymer), Hyaluronic Acid (skin-repairing ingredient), Resveratrol (antioxidant), Niacinamide (cell-communicating ingredient), Quercetin (antioxidant), Adenosine (cell-communicating ingredient), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (vitamin C/antioxidant), Tocopherol (vitamin E/antioxidant), Phospholipids (skin-repairing ingredient), Ubiquinone, Epigallocatechin Gallate (antioxidants), Sea Whip Extract, Bisabolol, Beta Glucan (anti-irritants), Phytic Acid (chelating agent), Xanthan Gum (thickener), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer (film-forming agent), Sodium Hydroxide (stabilizer), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Phenoxyethanol (preservative), Ethylhexylglycerin (skin-conditioning agent).
Finally, the cherry on top! To seal in the moisture, I apply Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator ($29, 50 ml /1.7 fl oz). It works to brighten skin, stimulate collagen production, fade red marks and discoloration. It's lightweight and dries matte which also makes it ideal for daytime use.
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane (silicone slip agent), Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate (thickening/skin-conditioning agent), Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer (silicone texture enhancer), Glycerin (skin-identical/repairing ingredient), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (stabilized vitamin C), Cetyl Alcohol (thickener), Niacinamide (cell-communicating ingredient), Dimethicone (silicone slip agent), Butylene Glycol (slip agent), Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate (thickeners), Polysilicone-11 (film-forming agent), Adenosine (cell-communicating ingredient), Epigallocatechin Gallate (antioxidant), Glucose Oxidase, Lactoperoxidase (skin-clearing agents), Boerhavia Diffusa Root Extract (plant extract/antioxidant), Xanthan Gum (binding agent/emulsifier), Glucose (skin-identical/repairing ingredient), Ceteareth-20 (solubilizing agent), Decyl Glucoside (emulsifier), Citric Acid (pH adjuster), Phenoxyethanol (preservative).
Vanity runs in my vein. My last step is to apply tinted lip balm to keep my lips hydrated but other than that, here's moi totally un-retouched, all-natural, #iwillsleeplikedis look
