Sephora VIB Rouge Haul, 500 Points Urban Decay Perk and Semi- Rant

After two emails and a phone call to Sephora to follow up on my order, my VIB Rouge online haul came to fruition. With box ripped on the side aggravated by some lousy packaging, I immediately unboxed to see if my items arrived intact. Thankfully, they were! Now my semi-rant... I cannot fathom how a global company like Sephora, year after year, fail to manage deluge of consumers during their VIB sale! I gave up on the first day because the website was totally unaccessible. I was lucky enough on the second day because immediately after I checked out, the website crashed again.  If you are following the debacle on their Facebook page, horde of irate bellas accused Sephora of profiling for allegedly suspending accounts with Asian domain and/or email. Whether it's true or not, I am overall disappointed with the way this annual sale was handled. And yes, I am here to prove that VIB Rouge does not make anyone extra special: it's just a fancy title that enables to you buy, ouch! 

Now let's take a  quick peek of my haul (reviews are possible in the future):

I know I could've eliminated the hassle of online purchase by going to my local Sephora but sadly they don't carry Guerlain. I've been meaning to buy Lingerie de Peau BB Beauty Booster and see how it compares to Super Aqua Serum BB Hydra+ (reviewed here). I am also intrigued with the new Lingerie de Peau Powder Foundation, hopefully I will like it!

Ever the curious moth, I want to try Kat Von D Autograph Liner set. At $32, I thought it was a steal because it has eight eyeliners to boot. I liked Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner (review + cat eye tutorial here) so I'm crossing my toes that these will be great too!

Thanks to a deluxe sample! I was impressed with Hourglass Film Noir so I purchased a full-size this time. You know you have enough lipsticks when your haul is composed of only one. As previously mentioned, Bite Beauty is one of my favorites so I added another lip pencil (Honey Berry) to my collection.

My BeautyBlender needed a replacement so I grabbed this set which included solid (cleanser). I am preparing for a collab holiday look so I am excited to get my hands on Lit Holographic Kit. When I called Sephora to inquire about my order, I was advised by the customer service rep that these two items are now permanently out of stock. Perfect timing indeed!

Lastly and I know you beauty junkies can relate...when I saw the 500 points perk with Urban Decay Obsessions deluxe palette (4 eyeshadows and black eyeliner) as the main attraction, my eyes twinkled like I don't own any palette yet. Long story short, I redeemed my points! Eye candy t'was.
