Makeup Haul Part 1 and FOTD Feat. Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion, Anastasia Glow Kit and Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick

As promised, here's a sneak peek of my little haul or shall I say part 1 because I celebrate my birthday month-long. With that said, expect part 2 and 3 in the coming posts. Don't judge, enablers unite, haha! I will be doing separate reviews once I get to road test these beauties for at least a week, ok?

Anastasia Beverly Hills recently launched two Glow Kits, each containing four metallic, ultra-pigmented powder highlighters. I settled with That Glow which suits my warm medium skin tone. 

My love for liquid lipsticks led me to a newfound love, the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick. Driver's Seat is brick coral, a stunning shade this time of the year. After trying it for a day, I did purchase two more shades online. The hype over these lippies is real! 

I also added Crush to my growing Anastasia Liquid Lipstick stash, it's a beautiful soft beige, 'kinda like nude lips but matte version (review and swatches of other shades here and here). 

Stila Liquid Lipstick is killin' it with Firenze, a mauve beige which is exclusive to Sephora VIB Rouge. Stila Liquid Lipstick Dolce is categorized as shimmer with nude cinnamon sheen. While the shade is perfect for neutral loving gals, it is not long-wearing in comparison to the regular liquid lipstick mattes.

There are two choices for Sephora birthday gifts; I went with Fresh which is composed of deluxe-size soy face cleanser and rose face mask. The other set didn't wow me (diminutive Marc Jacobs lippy and eyeliner).

I visited the recently-renovated Nordstrom at Ala Moana Center (Oahu, Hawaii) and was thrilled to see Sulwhasoo because I've been dying to try its cult-favorite cushion foundation. The sales associate color-matched me with Medium Beige (she initially suggested Dark Beige) but since my face is naturally darker than my neck (and rest of the body), I insisted on the former. Did I make the right decision? we'll cover that in another post.

I don't own a single Bobbi Brown lipstick (no kidding) so I decided to buy one, just because. Aptly named Rose, this shade is pinkish-nude with soft matte finish.

Hubs gifted me with accessories as shown in the photos. No more surprises for us when it comes to gift-giving and knowing that I own tonsssssssss of makeups already, I opted for sterling silver earrings this time!

For my makeup below, I used Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion, Anastasia Glow Kit (Golden Bronze and Sunburst on my cheekbone, Bubbly on eyelids), and Anastasia Always On Liquid Lipstick Drivers Seat. The dainty pair of earrings was part of the haul as well.
