I'm already feeling the scorching heat and it's not even summer yet. The last few days had been humid here in Hawaii so I'm preparing myself for multiple bouts of migraine-inducing temperature come summertime. Oh well, at least #makeuponpoint, haha! For today's post, I used mainly Pixi Beauty products. It's a combination of old (already reviewed in the past) and new (received recently) but still sticking with summer basics: light coverage to allow the skin to breathe while keeping up with the whole shimmer she-bang. As radiant as the sun, why not.

With clean face, I applied Pixi H20 Skindrink, a gel-based moisturizer which turns to liquid when massaged on the face. After that, I applied a lightweight beauty balm with built-in sunscreen and primer. To brighten my under eyes, I light-handedly applied Pixi Correcting Concentrate Adaptable Beige. For the proverbial summer warmth, I applied Pixi Natural Contour Powder Shape & Shadow on the side of my face and forehead. I also used it as transition color on my crease.
With all the rave and rage on highlighters, you bet I am doubly excited to try Pixi Beauty Blush Duo. There are two variants from this recently-launched collection. I received Peach Honey which features peach-nude and golden-champagne shades, both in shimmer finish. The texture is borderline creamy with minute glitters that catch the light. You can apply individually or swirl the accompanying kabuki deluxe brush (included in the kit) for that glowing diva look! For my makeup below, I applied the golden-champagne on my cheekbones, inner eye corner, nose bridge and cupid's bow and peach-nude on my lids. Multi-tasking it is! I kept the rest of my makeup minimal to keep it classy. My lips are somewhat dry so I exfoliated with Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish. I then swiped Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm Baby Bare, a tender pink shade. It smells minty and moisturizes my lips like a #ladyboss! I did a subtle cat-eye using Pixi Lash Line Ink. While I like its soft pointy tip, it's quite difficult to create the flick because the tip tends to be flimsy. I could've gotten a dud or my skill is waning. Finally, I sprayed Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist. It has rose water and green tea, two of my favorite skincare ingredients. This is a great item to keep in your purse because it prolongs makeup wear and keeps your face hydrated throughout the day.
