While use is relative, I find that beauty sponge works best with certain matte foundation, BB or CC creams. The trick is to wet it under running water then squeeze out all the excess (sponge increases in size when it's wet). Using bouncing motion, apply makeup lightly and build as necessary. Beauty sponge, when used properly, creates a flawless and airbrushed finish which makes it a must-have tool amongst pro makeup artists. There are several beauty sponges sold in the market today; the question is, what shape do you choose?
beautyjunkees made it easy for us makeup junkies! Sold in pack of 4s (currently on sale for $14.97, regular retail $39.97), these makeup sponges feel fluffy when damp, with quality comparable to beauty blender. As shown in the above photo, you can use the sponges depending on the area of the face you want to tackle. Cleaning is also easy; I just use castille soap (Dr.Bronner's) which helps remove residue and retain its texture. For a limited time, get 25% off any sponge with code FABZILL2 (unaffiliated), expires 4/30/16.
