Spring Love It Is! Jessica Simpson Ten

Do you switch up your fragrance from time to time or are you loyal to a certain brand? While I do have my signature scent, my olfactory sense does require a few rotation here and there or boredom sets in. For fall and winter, I like musky and dark floral; for spring, I'm all about light floral; and for summer, citrusy y'all!

Sugary and floral, Jessica Simpson Ten befits spring in my opinion. Launched September of last year, it was named Ten to commemorate the perfomer's tenth year in the world of perfumery. The elegant crescent-shaped bottle is accentuated with wrap-around etched feather-like cap which adds a certain flair of innocence. On initial spritz, I am greeted with white flowers which then dries down to creamy vanilla with a bit of sandalwood.  Other notes list clementine, star fruit, nectarine, plum, frangipani, jasmine, tiger lily, orange blossom, vanilla, tonk a bean, driftwood and white chocolate bean.

Overall, it's a nice daytime and/or date-time fragrance because it isn't heavy on the nose. Also, it leaves a lovely sillage with about seven hours of wear time and faint residual thereafter. A limited edition, it retails for $67 (100 ml).

  1. I'm jealous. My body chemistry is such that I have a relatively narrow scent wardrobe to choose from - primarily orientals and occasionally florientals. However, I've developed quite a collection. But I don't care about the season since all my scents have similar notes and characteristics. The Jessica Simpson bottle is lovely, and it looks so spring-y!

  14. I love citrus scents, and some florals, but I'm not a fan of sugary sweet ones usually. Orange blossom is one of my fave scents, though, so I may have to check this out.
