This palette features 32 eye shadows, predominantly neutral in warm and cool tones, 16 mattes (top 2 rows) and 16 shimmers (bottom 2 rows). The case is made from blue cardboard which closes magnetically. Flip open and you are greeted with colossal mirror almost the size of the entire palette.
While some of the shades look quite repetitive (i.e Porcelain, Custard, Bisque, Sugar Moonlight), the quality of both mattes and shimmers are stellar. The mattes are consistently buttery-soft while the shimmers feel velvety sans fallout. They are arranged from lightest to darkest, with the top two rows dedicated to mattes and the bottom two for shimmers. These don't budge or disintegrate when worn over eye primer.

If you favor neutral with slight affinity to smoked out looks, LORAC Mega Pro Palette 2 is definitely worth-considering. The lightest shades, particularly the shimmers can be used as highlighter, if you think about maximizing practicality.
Now let's move on to my autumn-inspired makeup! With so many color choices, you can tell I had fun mixin' and blendin'. I used Penny (bronze) on my lids, transitioned with Tangerine (brick orange) on crease, lightly blended with Goji (maroon) on crease. For my eyebrows, I used Cabernet (brown maroon) and for brow arch, I light-handedly applied Porcelain. For my inner eye corner, I used Moonlight for subtle-shimmer appeal. For my upper lash line, I smudged black eye liner and layered with Black Ivy (dark olive green). For my lower lash line, I smudged Cinnamon (copper), Goji and Black Ivy together.

Very pretty Kath! I love how they completely separated the mattes from the shimmers in this palette.

ReplyDeletePretty eye look. I like my Mega PRO Palette 2. :)

ReplyDeleteOooh you look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI am so on the fence with this palette. Everyone is saying to get it, and the colors are gorgeous and it just sounds overall amazing, but I feel like there's SO many colors in it that I might not ever reach for it... that sounds so backwards, ahha. Either way, the look you made is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, you make me want this palette!
ReplyDeleteYour eye look is absolutely gorgeous - you are rocking it. After I bought this palette, I didn't think I would love it as much as the first Mega Pro... but have been reaching for it a lot and using the bottom row tons. I have my review going up this week and I'm so glad this one is still available for purchase.
ReplyDeleteLorac is tricky to get here on top of this being an Ulta exclusive (they are also anti-Canadian) or I so would have jumped on this. Such great shades and I love how you've used them. Gorgeous as always!
