I am really controlling myself not to spend this early for Holiday releases but what can I do, willpower is disappointedly weak. Yeah, especially if you show me anything Guerlain (check out my review of Guerlain Meterorites Winter Fairy Tale Holiday Limited Edition) or lipstick for that matter.

Still part of Guerlain's Winter Fairy Tale Collection for the holidays, I am seriously enamored with the limited edition Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick in Merveilleux Rose ($55, Neiman Marcus). The splendid silver case with snowflakes is just the tip of the iceberg. Pull the bullet out and a double-sided mirror reveals itself like magic.
Merveilleux Rose is a luminous rosy pink shade with sublime hydration. It glides effortlessly on the lips with balm-like feel. This beauty is hefty, mostly because of the heavy-duty mirrored case. It has a hint of floral which dissipates after few minutes. While we expect wintery shades to be either vamp (berry) or glam (red), Guerlain is breaking the stereotype with subtlety.
Overall, if you're into collector's items or simply curious with Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick Winter Fairy Tale collection, this limited edition lipstick is definitely worth checking out!
