ColourPop Lippie Stix: Review, Swatch, Photos Feat. Pony, Fancy, Pitch, Dalia, Leather

How can you say no to all pop-o-goodness for five bucks? How can you say no to all pop-o-colour for five bucks? Pop-a-cockatoo repeats five bucks. Yes, this lippie stix costs $5 a pop.

Meticulously-packaged but quite slow in shipping (and lack of tracking for that matter), my forgiving attitude was imminent. How can you not be wowed? 

I initially purchased five lip liners and lip sticks to give ColourPop Cosmetics a try. With rave reviews left and right, I am more than excited to get my hands on these bellas. I chose offbeat shades under the premise "in case I don't like the formula, it's only $5, no biggie, really".

Used before photographed, I was so excited with Dalia (far left) thinking it could be a Tom Ford Black Dahlia dupe... but nope, it's not. Not even close.

Cruelty-free and made in the USA, these Lippie Stix are packaged in twist-up type pencils with differing finish: matte, satin, glossy, and pearlized.

Dalia (matte) is dark burgundy

Fancy (satin) is peach coral

Pitch (matte) is dark brown

Pony (satin) is blue-based pink

Leather (matte) is dark violet

All  five shades are superbly pigmented with wear time of about four hours sans eating. They don't stain lips or make mine dry. Fancy and Pony are creamy and easy to work with. Pitch, Dalia and Leather are semi-matte and they feel quite heavy on my lips. It's imperative to exfoliate and moisturize before wearing these dark vampy shades because they tend to emphasize lip lines and/or cracks. But other than that, these lippies did live up to the hype! Can't beat the quality for the price mama...
