Confession time. I don't pay attention to house brands. You know, makeups bearing the name of the retailer. Except for a couple of waterproof eyeliners from Sephora, I don't think I have any in my stash. So what possessed me to buy this Nordstrom palette on a whim then? Darn hunger pangs but hey the packaging got some bling!

...and they're neutrals, 16 eyeshadows in total.
... plus they have decent color payoff (4 mattes, 2 semi-glitters, the rest have sheen finish). The lighter shades are a bit chalky while the darker ones have commendable quality.

So is it a win on a whim? Let's put it this way. It's drugstore quality disguised in schmancy- fancy Nordy name. The bling case is rough but I like that it has a big mirror! I had no smudging issues, given that I always use an eye primer.
Bottom line, if you happen to be at Nordstrom and suddenly remember that cousin Linda has no gift yet, this makes a nice last- minute holiday present.
