How To Make 2018 Your Best Year Yet

how to be a better version of yourself, how to organize life

Happy new year, new you, new perspective. Will it, do it, reap it. Here's how you and I will own 2018!

Close the book and begin a new chapter. Stories don't need to have a happy ending but you can always start writing your own happy beginning. Forgive yourself and those who wronged you but don't forget the lessons you learned from the experience.

Declutter your space, declutter your life. Throw out old stuff, digitalize your documents, donate your excesses. Strive for minimalism. Value people not things.

Detach yourself from drama. Don't start one and don't get involved in it. Drama brings a lot of stress to your home and health. My mindset is pretty straightforward, if it won't pay the bills, don't even lift a finger.

Take control of your health. Not the doctor, not the medication, neither your loved ones.  With the rising cost in healthcare, add your soaring deductibles and premiums, the best thing you can do right now is to take important measures to bettering your overall health condition. Exercise, quit smoking and alcohol consumption, and most of all, eat healthy. Go plant-based this year and thank yourself later (here's a complete 101 guide on how to transition).

Be a better version of yourself, not others. Social media has created a monster living inside us, no thanks to the depiction of perfection captured in make-believe photos and videos. Stop comparing yourself and start believing in yourself. Embrace your own beauty, celebrate it and always strive to become a better version of yourself. Reinvention kills monotony.

Do it and keep doing it. Procrastination is the enemy of success. Whatever you need to do to accomplish your goals, do it now, not tomorrow, not next week. The more you push it further, the farther you are in achieving your goals.

I am forever thankful for all your support!

  1. I REALLY love what you said about “Take Control of Your Health”. Doctors these days just want you in and out...and 80% if the time they just want to prescribe something that treats your symptoms, not the underlying problem. Doing your homework is so important!

    1. Thanks Stacy. I agree with that you said. Oftentimes too, patients expect their doctors to perform a miracle and treat all their medical problems w/o reevaluating their own lifestyle choices. It is sad that the leading morbidity and mortality rates are largely influenced by poor lifestyle choices

  7. Clutter makes me feel stressed out and unproductive. I need to clear out a lot of things that no longer have a place in my life.
