It's officially September, #pumpkinspiceallthethings. Did you mark September 8 yet? Starbucks rakin' it early for us PSL fans eh? Too bad I can't have coffee anymore, no thanks to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux), more on that in another post. Anyways, let's revisit August one last time and see what moi used up to the very last drop.
The Body Shop body scrubs remain my favorite, month after month, tub after tub. Whenever they run 3+3, I hoard like there's apocalypse happening. Needless to say, I have repurchased again. I also love the jumbo shower gel, Strawberry is nice but I like Satsuma better.
Every now and then I do have salon appointments for hair color or touch up. And yes, I have been coloring my hair since time immemorial. With that said, rehydration and color protection are bare necessities. I will most likely repurchase Alterna Bamboo UV+ Color Protection Rehab Deep Hydration Masque because aside from its inviting fragrance, it leaves my hair soft, bouncy and manageable. On the other hand, while Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Color Radiance Mask hydrates my hair well enough, I find the fragrance extremely strong.
By default, Cetaphil Facial Cleanser remains my go-to when it comes to drugstore brand. It's gentle, affordable and available everywhere. I have also used up Caudalie Instant Detox Mask (deluxe size), it's a clay mask which leaves my face soft after rinsing. I'm not sure if if I'm going to repurchase it because I have mega-tons of masks waiting to be consumed. Technically my first makeup to have used up, By Terry Baume de Rose (part of holiday set featured here) is a great lip balm-slash-hydrator. I will repurchase the full size once I finish the other four.
Finally let's talk makeup wipes. How convenient they are! My trip to Sephora, Target, Walmart, CVS, or even Korean store won't be complete without these wipes. I have no particular favorite, whatever catches my eyes, I grab!

I can't imagine why your shower rack would be strained. It's not like you would have millions of bath/beauty products in there ;) Also - nice August empties! You seriously did work on those Body Shop products and face wipes
ReplyDeleteYou did a really great job finishing up lots of products in August! I was just working on my August Empties, and it isn't nearly so impressive! I have never tried The Body Shop Scrubs that you love, but will definitely buy a few next time I am there!
ReplyDeleteMy shower rack collapses frequently but it is one with suction cups. So I don't keep anything important on it. I have looked at the Cetaphil cleanser a million times, but still haven't tried it. Maybe I will now! But I adore the Murad Vitamin C Cleanser that I won in your giveaway. It's fabulous
ReplyDeleteWhich makeup wipes are your favorite?? I have a hard time parting from my beloved Neutrogena makeup wipes. I've started using Bioderma to take my makeup off at night since there isn't as much tugging involved in my makeup removal routine, but I still miss my wipes. I would be interested in trying out other wipes though!
ReplyDeleteLook at all those wipes! I hardly ever finish makeup items either (besides foundation) so it always a nice feat! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so satisfying to see a nice pile of used up stuff. And lovely to open new! Sorry about your shower rack. Mine's creaking and groaning but so far, it's holding up. lol
ReplyDeleteI always like posts about empties. I emptied my Cetaphil recently too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your vase in the background
ReplyDeleteLOL oh no, your poor shower rack! That is definitely something all beauty hoarders have dealt with! You finished up some great empties, I've gotta get my hands on some Body Shop products!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be on the lookout for the body shop scrubs!
ReplyDeleteEmpty posts intrigue me since I so rarely finish things up.
ReplyDeleteI love makeup remover wipes, or any type of face wipe as well! I had that happen to me while I was in the shower heheh woke me right up!
ReplyDeleteLots of great products finished up!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of Baume de Rose. I only have the pot, i want the tube
ReplyDeleteGreat empties! I have a ton of wipe empties right now
ReplyDeleteI want all of those products! :) And if it makes you feel any better, my shower curtain rod collapsed a couple weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing a good set of empties. I have the Burts Bees wipes and am super impressed with them!
ReplyDeleteI had to stop using shower racks and only have a small one now because the heat and steam seemed to jack up the strength of it... and it would crack and break. I love Cetaphil cleanser, it's my daily and the most gentle on my very sensitive skin - I have been using for years.
ReplyDeleteMy shower racks fail under pressure often, too. I just can't seem to pare down what I have in there, and there's always something new to try!
ReplyDeleteYou went through some good stuff!
ReplyDeleteYou got through so much!!! I love those Murad wipes!
