Time To Go Wood | JORD WATCH

sent for feature consideration
Koa wood is endemic to Hawaii which makes it valuable, pricey and sought-after. Thankfully, my mother-in-law has amassed a good amount of koa wood furnitures back in the day which she generously passed on to us. They were and will continue to be statement pieces; for  every carving, grain and texture, each has a story, forever etched in one's memory.

So when I was given the opportunity to receive a koa wood watch from JORD, I couldn't be happier. A statement accessory on its own, dressed down or up, it's the perfect adornment.

JORD (Swedish for earth, soil, land) makes quality wood watches i.e koa, rosewood, zebrawood, purple heart, maple, among others. I'd stick with koa, and you should too, now that you know its value. Retailing for $285, the style I'm wearing is called Cora, which without me sounding utterly redundant, features koa and rose gold. It came with a beautiful keepsake box for storage.

While it claims to be splash/water resistant, I wouldn't attempt wearing it while swimming or near water. Adjusting the time was a challenge at first because of its special screw-down crown. I'm not the type who reads instruction but yeah, save yourself from confusion and read the instruction card *points back to myself, haha!* If you require sizing such as myself (small wrist here mama), there is a drop-down option before checking out. Mine came a tad tight so I will bring it to a watch shop to have it readjusted (they included the links).
