In my previous blog, I mentioned that e.l.f. cosmetics is a woman's answer to affordable makeups. You can find some e.l.f products in major retail chain and drugstores like Walgreens, Target, K-mart. The entire line, however, is only accessible through online ( For full products, click here).
el.f. has some nice lip glosses and eye makeups you can buy dirt cheap. I have never tried using a lip primer and lip lock before, so at $3 each, maybe it's worth a try.
Lip Primer & Plumper; Lip Lock Pencil |
Lip primer is supposed to lock lip color for hours while lip plumper makes your puckers look plump and luscious. e.l.f has double ended- sides which serves both purpose.
Lip lock on the other hand is supposed to seal the color in place which helps prevent smudges.

Here's a closer look of the Lip Primer and Plumper:
Lip primer side has beige cream color |
Lip plump side has opaque white color |

... and how it looks when you apply lipstick after....
This lipstick color ain't supposed to be pink! |
...Without the lip primer, this is the real color of the lipstick
That's more like it- salmon peach |
The lip plumper (opaque white) side is supposed to be applied before lipstick. It glides on smoothly and smells minty cinnamon. A few seconds after application, it stings (with a tingling effect) which is supposed to help the lips look more plump.
The lip lock pencil is applied around the corner of your mouth to lock in lip color. It helps prevent budging and feathering of lipstick. It is now part of my makeup routine.
Now the final verdict using Kissmark analysis tool (More on Kissmark analysis, click here)
Lip Primer and Plumper
Lip primer has no absolute use. You can use your face foundation to prime your lips instead,. Lip plumper is okay as lip moisturizer but not a plumper. |
Lip Lock Pencil
Smears and budges ain't fab |
