If there is one part of a woman's face that is oftentimes neglected, I'd bet it would be the eyebrows. Bushy and untamed. Not fab.
Eyebrows define our face. In fact there are shapes that suit certain face types. It may seem tedious to groom them but once you get the hang of it, plucking or threading will be more like second nature. Seriously, I get distracted talking to a woman with stray hairs in between her eyebrows or scattered all over the eyelids. One time I was talking to a dear friend, took out my tweezers and plucked her stray hairs. Now she dons the classiest -shaped eyebrows I have seen!
I had my fair share of Incredible Hulk-ish looking brows. When you're in your teens, it's perfectly fine and dandy. But if you belong to the working population, girl you need to start grooming them. Here are some tips on how to get those fab eyebrows:
1. Consider the shape of your face. If your face is oval, which is the most ideal type, (think Salma Hayek and Natalie Portman), a soft angled shape is the way to go.

If your face is round (i.e. Catherine Zeta Jones), don't go for rounded brows. Brows should go up (high arch) and down to elongate the face.

If you have a long face (i.e Liv Tyler, Iman), you can shorten your face by sporting flat brows.

Square face exudes strong features (Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow). Compliment it with strong eyebrows that has sharp peak at the top of the brow.

If your face is heart-shaped (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michele Pfeiffer), rounded brows will look hot on you. Round brows will soften your features. Imagine your chin as the bottom of the heart, and your brows as the top part.

If your face is shaped like diamond (i.e Reese Witherspoon), recreate an illusion of smaller face with curved brows.

2. If this is your first time to groom or recreate your eyebrows, I suggest going to a salon and have a professional stylist do it for you. Threading or waxing can be quite pricey so shaving is another option. Insist on the shape that suits your face type. Maintain the shape by plucking stray hairs using tweezers. Never attempt to shave it or you risk being brow-less. Tweeze on the direction of hair growth, never against it.
3. Play up your eyebrows with eye stencils. The most common ones are the plastic types. They come in different shapes and are totally reusable. Eye stencils can be bought from any pharmacy or retail stores, just head to the beauty section. If you are filling your eyebrows, align the stencil from the start to end point of your brows. Dip a small angled brush into eye shadow powder (I prefer brown shades), and lightly brush the brow using the stencil as your guide.
Rock & roll those fab eyebrows now!
