Eyes are the most versatile part of the face. You can channel any look by just changing your eye makeup. Go gothic by wearing dark shadows. Go vamp with smoky eyes. Go wholesome with neutrals. Go retro with bright hues. And so on.
Practice makes perfect. I learned how to apply eye makeup by myself. I learned from previous encounters with MUAs (makeup artists) and by simply reading beauty magazines. Like everything else, I am still in the learning curve. I started to wear makeup in college. Back then, money was a little tight so I relied on one makeup to color my lips, cheeks and even my eyes: Lipstick!
With a variety of eye makeups available today, it can be very overwhelming for beginners. I feel you! I can get lost too sometimes. I can spend one whole day in Sephora just trying different eye makeups. I hope the following tips can help you decide which ones to buy and try:

Eyes shadows are applied on lids, crease, brow area. They come in different formulations and packaging. The most common ones are the pressed powder types which are sold in quad, duo, trio, single, multiples. Here are some pressed eye shadows you can buy from drugstore and specialty stores:

Cream Eye shadow differs from pressed powder because of its creamy formulation. It glides on smoothly and can be used as eyeliner. It can be applied using shadow brush or fingertip.

Mascara can help add volume and length to your eyelash. It instantly brightens dull eyes. A fab woman should own at least one mascara!
Eye makeup glitter and shimmer add more definition and drama to your eyes. Who says you can't wear glitter on regular days? Play up your eyes and keep everything neutral. Here are some nice eye glitter products:

Eyebrow enhancers are makeups or tools that groom your eyebrows. What good is an eye makeup if your brows look like hurricane! Pluck eyebrows if you must. Fill in spaces either with eyeliner or eye powder. Keep hair in place with clear lash mascara.
False eyelashes add drama and story to your eyes. If you're like me who's not into wearing avant-garde lashes, then try this trick: Fake your lashes without fake eyelashes. If you missed this blog, click here.
Eye primer/ shadow base. Eye primer prepares a smooth canvass for your eye makeup. It helps prevent smudging and creasing. It also makes the eyeshadow more vibrant. Make your own eye primer, click here.
Fab and Fun Friday! Go out with a different look today.
