What about a new hair color or haircut to welcome 2018? go blonde if you're brunette and vise versa. Or better yet, be a little bit more daring with blue, fuchsia or green. I haven't crossed that fence yet but each time I change the intensity of my blonde balayage, I feel like a brand new woman!

Looking for spa-like products sans the high tag? I have recently discovered Simply Scrub organic body scrub and boy I am in love! Their scrubs are 100% organic, natural and chemical-free. Both Rose and Soursop are also vegan (photo below). Rose is made with real rose bud petals avocado oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, brown sugar, jojoba oil, tea tree oil, coconut oil and organic vitamin E. Soursop is a spikey green fruit commonly found in Southeast Asia, South America and Africa. The scrub is made of soursop leaves, coconut oil, dead sea mineral salt, tea tree oil, brown sugar, jojoba oil, vitamin E, green tea, shea butter and mint leaves. While they are called scrubs, they are very gentle on the skin and the added natural oils help to seal in moisture especially this time of the year.

You know I am all about practicality but how about updating your prescription eyeglasses? when was the last time you had your eye exam? if you have been experiencing blurry vision and frequent headaches, it does not hurt to visit your optometrist or ophthalmologist. Try black frames this time, trust me they look chic!

Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas

My last suggestion may sound cliche but really, you need to have an absolute me-time. Away from everyone else. When all you need is a nice cup of coffee, no conversation, just by yourself. Being away from it all helps recharge your mind and body.

  3. I love the burgundy cross body. It reminds me of a Dooney & Burke "shoulder bag" that I had a couple of decades ago that I wish I had kept since it's now a classic. I love your glasses, and the leopard print fabric around your pony tail is such a great look!
